Introduction/Thanks!

My wife and I are long time campers. First tents then pop-ups. We have made the decision to move up to an Airstream. We want a camper in which we can stay in comfort. We have our eye on one that has not been fully defined. We are supposed to get it over Christmas to New Years time frame. No title, bill of sale only. I think it is a 1968 Overlander or Sovereign. Details are a little sketchy on it, but I have a basic trust with the seller (my sister and brother-in-law).

I usually like restoration projects and I think I will enjoy this one. I have restored items from bicycles, tractors, 4x4's and classic cars. I guess the only thing that scares me is the tanks and plumbing. I do most of the maintenance on our home and vehicles, but I have never worked on a camper. I am looking forward to the project.

I would like to thank everyone who post here. I have read many threads to help me make this decision. The information and forums here are truly inspiring. The amount of enthusiasm from the Airstream community here will help keep me motivated.

Thank you all!

HD Camper,

Welcome. Just purchased a 1973 Sovereign and, like you, received great help on this forum prior to the purchase.

I hope you get the Airstream that you want and know you will enjoy it.
