Introduction - dastrick
Hello to our fellow Airstreamers on the Capetown to Cairo to Capetown Caravan.
Our names are Allen And Jacqueline Strickland. We are members of the Florida Treasure Coast Unit and we live in North Palm Beach, Florida. We bought our first Airstream (a new 2004 19' Bambi) in February 2005 and went to the 2005 International Rally as our first official Airstream event. We loved it, and have attended the 2006 & 2007 International Rallies. We have since attended an number of rallies and are firmly entrenched in the Airstream way of life.
When we decided to go on the CCCC Rally we joined with another couple and bought a 1976 24' Argosy. We are currently involved in refurbishing the trailer and are progressing fairly well.
We lived and worked in Egypt for a year during 2000-2001 and loved every moment. We made some lifelong friends and have been back to visit Egypt in 2006. Since we have some contacts there we will be helping to set up the routes, parking sites and tours in Egypt for both the Northbound and Southbound groups.
