Introduction

Hello, rlmm here.

Wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I am currently looking for an airstream trailer. Have been looking and lurking for a good while now and decided it was time to get together with others like minded. Kind of got the "bug" and can't seem to shake it loose.

Im familiar with RV's of different sorts, mostly vintage, but a few other types as well. The airstream and aluminum trailers have always been of great interest and I have lusted after a few over the years. Like doing some of the work on trailers myself as my knowledge facilitates. Its good to know one's limitations. :0) I found out the hard way in years past.

I've found forums to be a great resource, knowledge base, and new friends seem abundant. Looks like a good place to spend time. Thanks for the welcome.

rlmm.

Hey Airslide, thanks. Speaking of questions, have the members here used U-ship for having trailers shipped across the US. Reason I ask is I have seen a few trailers I likely would have purchased but shipping costs from other shippers I contacted at the time were a bit too costly to make it worthwhile to purchase from a long distance. Just curious.

Rob, I spent about 6 months "lurking" on the Forum before ordering my new trailer. I cannot tell you how much this helped me decide what to buy...and by that I include the hitch and running gear. You are absolutely in the right place to get a variety of ideas and make your own call.

Welcome aboard. Use the search feature and most everything you desire to learn will be revealed. Try searching threads by "PharmGeek" using the 'by user name' box and your research time may be cut to mere days :-)

Welcome.

Vintage is good.

Look at lots of them and get the best one that works for you. Kind of like looking for a spouse.
