Introducing myself from Bangor, ME

Hello,

Just wanted to send a quick message to introduce myself. My name is Juan Pons an I live in Bangor, ME, and I've quickly become an Airstream fanatic.

I am not really "new" to airforums as I have been lurking for about 2 years. I bought my first Airstream last year and just purchased an upgraded model while trying to sell my first.

I have been wanting an Airstream for years, and last year I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. The first I bought was a 2003 Bambi 19 footer last february. Used but generally in great shape. I fixed a bunch of things that where not working quite right, and last summer took it camping LOTS. Made it to NY, NJ, CT, MA, NC, WV, VA, and of course here in Maine.

After using it so much last year I figured out pretty quickly what worked for me and what did not and just last week purchased a 2008 Safari 20 footer from the fine folks at Colonial. Already taken it camping in our still frigid north, and could not be happier. I absolutely love this model. I can feel it MUCH more when towing compared to the Bambi 19, and my MPG has suffered as well, but I am just so pleased with the layout of this camper that it's worth it.

I wanted to thank everybody here for the incredible amount of amazing information contained in the forums. I had not posted before because every time I had a question I was able to find the answer quickly by doing simply doing a search. However I thought it was time to formally introduce myself.

And yes I did purchase an enhanced account last year, but seems I need to do that once again, I could use a new sticker for the new Airstream.

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to see you posting about your Airstream experiences. That's what make these Forums great, input from many Airstream people.

We usually visit Maine every year. last year we spent two weeks at the Pumpkin Patch RV Park there in Bangor.
