Indiana Newbie

Hello everyone! I first joined the forum in May 2010 and now we are true AIRSTREAM owners. Last night we went to Ft Wayne Indiana just to check out a motorhome that was listed on Fred's and we surprised ourselves by purchasing it on the spot. It is a 1996 Airstream LandYacht Motorhome. It is very clean and stored inside most of it's life. We feel we are very lucky to have come across such a gem. I have been looking for a vintage pull behind airstream but my husband is not a fix it kind of guy with absolutely no vision , so I compromised and went with a fiberglass motorhome. And they say the woman always gets her way. Some day I hope he will see my vision and will let me save some poor little silver camper from the junk yard. Notice my forum name "SILVERESCAPE" . Do I have to change it "FIBERGLASSESCAPE" Anyway.....glad to be apart of the world of Airstream.

Congratulations silverescape. Trust me this is all so habit forming, you will likely cart home a silver baby to save and love on your own. I have really been surprised at the number of women who restore Airstreams and cars on this forum and do it with extraordinary flair! Welcome to the forums and hope you get to travel and have adventures and will post pictures here for us to share your enthusiasm and experiences.

Congrats on the MoHo purchase.

Hope Airstream ownership is rewarding for you.
