I'm new to this forum and have been an airstream member for 4 years. My husband and I are both teachers. He teaches math and science (as in chemistry and calculus) and I teach severely and profoundly handicapped children aged 5-10. We're at both ends of the teaching spectrum so to speak.
We own a "B" van and have not been on many trips. We needed to do a lot to the van after we got it because it leaked and the interior needed help. The club members here in Lacey are very active and we have two rallies this month, one in August, one or more in September, and for the last few years a rally is held at the ocean around halloween. So, even though we haven't been able to do much traveling we've been to a lot of rallies.
Our neighbor just got one of the brand new vans....it's beautiful and I am jealous!!!
Oh, we have 4 grown boys and a grand daughter and a dog.
Mama1948, welcome to the forums. Always exciting to have another Washingtonian join. I have a soft spot in my heart for the LYH in Lacey - that's where we bought our beloved Safari two years ago. Met some nice people there at the time, too. Sounds like you're having a lot of fun with your van!
Well, my hubby and I are (retired) teachers as well. Liked teaching, love being retired! Love the forums, really love getting together with other forum members and camping! Be sure to join a campout... check out the rally calendar at the top of the page! It is fun to meet new folks with a similar interest and match faces to their "handles".
