I'm just joining in and want to introduce myself

I am David, code name "shadowwolf" in this forum, named after my favorite dog who is a timber grey wolfhybrid, beautiful and very friendly with one partial blue eye and a curly tail to make the vet think she's a Malamute!

I live in Crestview FL and make my living as a landscaper and general all around handyman.

In Feb. '05, I inherited my father's pop up camper and liked it but the canvass is prone to getting mildewed. I'd been looking for a hard sided camper for a while and it clicked in my head, that I could get an Airstream, which I always dreamed of getting one as a young boy, seeing them on road trip vacations. After going through the ebay thing I wanted to buy one that I could see and touch and found out about one for sale in Penacola FL, 45 miles from here.

I bought it in April '06. It's a 1968 24' Tradewind. The shell doesn't have a single dent or scratch. The laquere is coming off in areas and it has a little corrosion aroung a few places along some seams but many people think I have since polished it since it is clean and has a good shine, not a mirrir finish or anything, but really good for original finish.

I have since joined WBCCI and have taken it to some local rallies at Mystic Prings Park that the local chapter owns. I really enjoy it.

I have done a lot of work to this camper and it still needs a lot more done to it but we're able to continue using it in the meanwhile. My wife laikes it so much that I don't even have to ask her about going to the next rally, she signs us up for the next one while we're still at the current one.

I look forward to meeting you all.

David

David, sorry, but were you at the Florida Can Opener Rally? My bad if you were. Anyway, this last weekend we were right near you at Topsail (Santa Rosa Beach). Look at the string for the Florida Can Opener Rally, as we seem to have a pretty active group in the southeast. Welcome aboard!

David,
Welcome!
Nice to have a trailer that you can enjoy while you work on it, and a wife who is so willing to camp. That is not an easy combination to find - enjoy!

Sorry it took me so lon to get back with you all. We went to another Unit 29 rally at Mystic Springs Park January 19-21 and I haven't logged on since. I haven't been to the Florida Can Opener Rally yet but will check it out. My WBCCI # is 11537. I see some post an AIR # how do you get one of those?
