Hi,

Some of you my remember me and my quest of the totally renovated Globetrotter on E-Bay a few weeks ago. I did not make its reserve as the bidding went to $17,000.

It's going to be relisted soon and I believe the reserve is around $30,000. The owner sent me a link to a similar trailer sent to Italy for a renovation by a famous Italian designer and shipped back to the US where the owners, a dept. store in San Franscisco ( Limn) put it up for sale for $175,000!!! I'm sure many of you think by now Florida flamingos have their heads in too much water ....but I belive this is true.

I put out a query on the inspector's link on the first page of this website to 2 CA Airstreamers in the San Francisco area to see if anyone would go up to Somoma county to inspect the trailer for me. I believe it is near Pt Reyes. No answer to date so I am asking if there is anyone out there who would like to do this for me...of course for a fee. Think how much fun it would be to look at such a trailer!!!! I need to know if the trailer frame can carry the weight as probably the renovation added a lot. Also the condition of the axle for a trip to Florida. There are probably lots of other important considerations I have not memtioned or thought of.

Thanks for reading and maybe in my next life I will become something less crazy than a pink flamingo who likes Airstreams...life would be so much simpler!....Susan in Florida

Hello Susan,

Just a little update. Tomorrow I will be out to inspect this little jewel. I was called by Wendy again and she rescheduled for 2 hours later. No problem on my end. I will update with pictures as Im sure a few are interested in this one. I will call you when finished.

I guess I would be sure you were aware of the rear waste tank setup including drag wheels..
