I want one!

Hi, another newbie here.

I'm from the Netherlands and my husband and i recently fell in love with the Airstream Bambi. So we've been reading up on all kinds of information and seen almost every website with the word Airstream on it.

My hubby (Bert) is the most versatile person i know. He's been in the Navy (helicopter mechanic), he also worked as an electrician, boat builder, kitchen installer and he currently is a manager at a boat rental company.

For me, i'm in ICT, it's a nice job with a good pay. My spare time is spend on my family and all kinds of hobbies like photo editing, making soap and other cosmetics, cards and so on. Not difficult to figure out i don’t have enough time in a day

I've noticed that it isn't easy to find a Bambi. There are some for sale but some are already sold, some are fully restored, but we want one to restore ourselves and some sellers just don't respond and. Guess we have to be patient...

For now i’ll settle for lurking around here J

Welcome to the forums!! What a wonderful place to "Lurk" . When you finally find your Bambi, you will have lots of friends on line to assist with any questions. Skye and I sure do depend on this site for all kinds of help. Be sure to post pics when your status changes from "currently looking" . ok, out to start installing our new flooring. Yep not only do you get assistance, but you get very expensive ideas!

If your ready....your in luck

Hello....If your very new to Airstreams you may not know about other models. Here is one a little larger than a Bambi...I personally like better. Its narrow for European roads and sounds like one your plans will fit. Best of all the price looks great, you don't have to fight shipping and crooked shippers because its already on your side of the Atlantic. I have nothing to do with it or the owners...it just looks like a perfect fit for you. Good luck in your search. Many great Airstreamers in the NL.

Thanks Casa380 if i find/buy one i surely will brag about it here

And thank you Melody for looking, i had the same thoughts about the Globetrotter. The price is right and we could fly over there in no time to check it out. It would be a great first project.

I've actually been looking at several models although i know my hubby is dead set on the Bambi. But he knows as well as i that the Bambi we would like is hard to come by so he finally caved. I also think when our little one gets bigger the Bambi would be on the small side.
