I did it! Jumped in with both feet
Hello there!
Needless to say, this is my debut. I just closed the sale of a (looks to be) solid '69 25' TradeWind LY. The reality is still sinking in. I certainly have already benefited from the accumulated wisdom within these pages, so thank-you!
The interior is in need of some refurbishment, however major systems appear to be present and functional. It's very exciting and somewhat daunting to comprehend the odyssey ahead and I can't wait.
The as yet unnamed silver beauty will be worked on over the winter and gently restored to former glory.
First question if I may? The patchy surface most prevalent toward the roofline...what exactly is it? I'm thinking clearcoat peel.

Congradulations, and welcome to the forum. The Airstream experience is one I'm sure you will enjoy for a long time.
Yes, it appears the clearcoat is pealing at the top of the trailer, which is rather common. You have the option of leaving it alone, stripping the clear coat off, and leaving it alone, or stripping and polishing. You could also strip the clearcoat, and reclearcoat, which would be the most expensive option.

The first major step, is weather proofing the trailer.
Check all the exterior gaskets. If they are the originals, you most likely will find all of them cracked.

Thank-you everyone, i'm excited for the road ahead. I will post up some more pics, especially interior which we intend to customise somewhat.
