I did it!

I went to the Fairlex RV show this past Sunday, Oct 15. I didn't bring the wife. This was her surprise.

I upgraded from a 2014 FC19 to 2018 FC25 RT. Had to upgrade since my ankle biters were getting to big to share beds. Had to get a TWIN bed because the wife tends to get up in the middle of the night, and would also wake me.

Unit is being built and I should have a delivery date around 45 days. I wasn't sure if it is 45 business days or 45 days in general.

Either way, it will be a good Christmas present.

Since I have not touch, feel, taste, etc a 2018, can anyone tell me from your experience what the 2018 has ..... mainly, what issues did you find?

I know, and I am expecting some quality issue, so I want to point it out before taking it off the lot.

Thanks for any advice.

I can't comment on the 2018, but I can tell you that we love our 2014 25' rear twin. For us, it is perfect. I know you'll enjoy yours.

We just put it in the barn for the winter.....

Congrats! We're really happy with our 2017 FC rear twin - it replaced a 2015 23d. The ducted air is divine.

The only issues we've had are a couple of flipper cabinets that are not cut straight (my fault for not looking closely enough) and a noisy water pump. We plan on getting the flippers replaced under warranty eventually and the noisy pump was fixed with some pipe insulation and the spouse installed an accumulator.

Since we picked it up in late March we've got about 5000 miles and 70 nights. No leaks, no falling vents, and no stripped screws!

One thing about the 2018's is that I think Airstream moved away from the Goodyear Marathon tires to something better (Endurance?). The Marathon's are a sore spot for many. Have fun!
