I am Back

Well Folks I posted pics for everyone to see. Now I think someone said it was a 62' airstream an ambassadore land yacht. I would love to do temp repairs but I am not going to take risks because it has been sittng for about 16 years. it is not in too bad of shape but it needs tlc a lot of it. I am not sure of the functionality of the wires to the truck and the breaks on the trailer itself. Not to mention the propane system is still the original copper tubing. So needless to say it is not safely ready for this camping season. Thanks again Jeff

It looks like you've got yourself a project. Familiarize yourself with the search function in the upper left corner of the screen. Most of the questions you will have have probably been answered here (at least once).

I see you've got the International package on your Ambassador, but it's not a '62 looking at the pics. From the five panel end segments, and the bathroom setup it appears to be a '64 or later. Window layout suggests a '65. If you post your VIN (located on the plate to the right of the door) we'll be able to tell you for sure.

Sorry, didn't even look at the tail lights. It's definitely a '65 or later.

This is an excellent resource to date your vintage Airstream -- Vintage Airstream Photo Archives

Looks like he's duplicated the 65 'bassador under the '66 link. But this is what is shown for VINs for 1965.

For 1966 there would be a '6' between the length designation and the NNN serial production #s. A '7' would be a 1967. Gets logical after a bit...
