Howdy from the Rockies!
Well, obviously this is my first post on the site. My wife and I just bought a 27' FB today and will pick it up this weekend. We are both nervous and excited as this is our first trailer let alone Airstream. Normally we do a lot of tent camping. That will change some. So, we have a lot of learning to do and this site will help us along the way. Our tow vehicle is a Ram Power Wagon. It will be interesting to see how it does pulling the Airstream. Definitely will post up on that. Thanks for this great site!

Your just bought your Airstream and now cold weather is coming. Looks like the weather reports in your area don't show below freezing temperatures. Maybe you can get trip in before you have to winterize. Make sure you understand the method of winterizing. Ask about that on your orientation and if you have further questions then consult these forums.
Welcome.
Kelvin

Hello and welcome to the Airstream community. We just moved to Conifer Colorado. It took us over a year to find a front range property that was Airstream accessible. Our sons live in Denver area and it's great being close to them.
We are retired and enjoy traveling in our Airstream seeing this great country of ours. Last fall we had a wonderful trip to New England and the coast of Maine. Actually we could spend a year or more just exploring Colorado. I'm still getting used to mountain driving and looking forward to our first winter here.
I suspect Airstream prices are a bit better this time of year. I think you will thoroughly enjoy your new Airstream. It is much more comfortable than the tent, but at the same time more complex and more limited. You can use it as a base camp and go backpacking with your tents.
Congratulations on your new Airstream. Our Limited is 30 years old and our Trade Wind is 50 years old. Your new Airstream can last a very long time indeed.

Thanks for the great replies! Sorry for the late response. We've been very busy lately. Tomorrow we will pick up our Airstream from Denver. From there we will go find a spot in the mountains and try out our new trailer for a night. If we are lucky and the weather holds we might get one or two more weekends in before the weather changes. Crossing the fingers! We will also talk to the dealer about winterizing. Thanks for that tidbit Kelvin! Will post up a picture once we get back. Thanks again!

Glad to meet some members who are also from Colorado! We went down to the Buena Vista area over the weekend. Had a great time. Definitely learned some things about our Airstream. Still crossing our fingers that we can go again this weekend. Here are some pictures that we took. In one of them you will see a very old Airstream. Enjoy!

Seem to having a problem with uploading the photos. Not sure why. Will post up once I have figured out the issue.

Nice to hear you took your Airstream on its maiden voyage. I even know where Buena Vista is! Someday we will go exploring.
Posting pictures can be problematic on these Air Forums. I think there is more problems with iphone photos than older digital cameras. My photos are .jpg file type.
I just click on the paper clip, then click choose the photo I want from my computer, and then click open. Finally I click "upload". You have to wait long enough for the file to get uploaded before you close the "manage attachments" window.
Photos won't paste in for me. I have to use the "manage attachments" window from the paper clip.
Here is our old Trade Wind at Kenosha Pass admiring the golden Aspen leaves.
