Howdy from Southern Idaho - '59 TradeWind

So my lady (Lorrie) and I purchased this 1959 24' AS a little over a month ago. Originally we were looking for / at the older canned ham style trailers with the intent of getting a smallish (18'-20') and fixing it up with that 50's diner motif.
One day saw this Air Stream on CL that was about 3hrs away, didn't know anything about them except that they have that cool retro look. Talked to the boss shortly after I got home from work about it, and got the OK to inquire about it. Called the seller and it sounded good for the most part, of course it needed some work. Plumbing, heat, electrical. Had a couple bumps and bruises from being used for hunting. A day later got a text from the owner that he had been getting several inquiries and one person offered to purchase site unseen. So I asked him if I could take a look the next day and make a decision then and he agreed (thank goodness). Next day went and took a look and knew right away this was the one.

So I had no idea what model it was, I looked at so many AS on here and other places trying to find out what model we had. Finally about 3 days later I came across one that was like mine, Oh a TradeWind. So then I started looking at TradeWinds in the same year and was puzzled how so many didn't look like mine, kind of baffling.
Anyway here's mine, haven't done any thing except cleaned the inside.
Looking forward to starting to pull stuff out and see how good or bad things are so I can make a determination on how to proceed.
Every day I read several posts on here and other places trying to gain as much knowledge from you all as I can before I start. It's nice to see so many helpful people.
Looking forward to the journey, getting to know and meet some of you down the road.
Thanks everyone
Tony & Lorrie

PS - Having some issues getting pics posted, will try again tomorrow

Post a picture, there will be someone (if not more) who can identify it.

Welcome fellow Tradewinder.

If you have your serial number from a plaque near the door that will help also.

Get it sealed up, and roadworthy and start camping.

It you wait till it all gets done it could be awhile. They make very nice tents in the interim.

Well Google is good for many things except posting on here it seems. Thanks to DKB_SATX (David) for the help and pointing me towards Photobucket.

So what makes an "International"

As close to any original paperwork I could get. Found it hanging in one of the closets

An international would be like the trimline of a vehicle. Mostly affected decor and finishings of interior.
