How to get started?

We live in Ventura, CA and are looking at a 1975 Overlander 27 ft. to purchase and restore. Problem is, we have no idea if it's restorable. Salesman says it's in working order but how do we tell. Is it possible to hire someone to inspect it for us? How would I go about finding such a person? How does one determine if the trailer is worth restoring? We've never owned a trailer so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums! There are volunteer trailer inspectors on the a member search (pull-down menu for Quick Links in the upper right of the page)... set the parameters for your search (your location, inspector, etc) and you can get a list of forum members who may be able to help out... PM to determine whether they could inspect the trailer with you...

Good luck!
