how the hell are ya?

Where do i start? My name is Ryan and i live in Austin TX. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. On the weekends we like to go to the lake and other swimming holes around central Texas. I figure a trailer would be ideal for our life style, and i have always liked Airstream trailers. As far as buying one gos, what are some of the things i should look out for when buying one? Is there years and models i should avoid?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm doing great! Thanks for asking and welcome to the forums.

As for what to look for. The skins are really expensive to fix so watch out for body damage. You'll also want to test all the systems to make sure they work too.

With an ice pick. Gently probe inside the door and under the windows to make sure no water has leaked in and rotted the wood floor.

Axles are another concern so google Inland RV and there is a section there on how to tell if your axles are shot.

If you find one you are interested in just post a bunch on pictures on the forums and a whole lot of folks who know way too much will point out the pluses and minuses. (if any)

Welcome to the Forums! You're in the right place to find the answers.

There's also a sub form with buying guidelines that may be helpful... http://www.airforums.com/forums/f353/

Good luck with your search and keep us posted!
