Hi yous guys!

Hello, new member here from the beautiful upper peninsula of Michigan. We recently acquired a 1968 Tradewind. We can't wait to get started making the needed repairs and get her out on the road! It's great to have found you all.
Jess

Welcome Jess! I know you will love your Airstream just like the rest of us here on the forums. There is a lot of information here on restorations. Just use the search above to find out anything you want to know. If you can't find it, ask. No question is to mundane here. And the best part is that we all learn from everyone's questions!

Have fun!

Welcome to the forum, Jess... The UP is a beauteous place... You're gonna have a blast here, getting all the questions you will have about your restoration, plus the moral support to boot...

Good luck, and Silver Trails!

At least Badgers & Yoopers don't "unthaw" their food like some Minnesotans...

Smile Welcome yooper! Say ya to da UP eh?

Hey Jess,
Welcome!!
You have so many great places to Airstream in the UP!! We love it up there!!
There's lots of us Michigan Airstreamers here on the forum who live below the bridge too
in case others (poor dears not living in our great state) haven't heard, the yoopers (folks from the UP) sometimes call us Lower P folks trolls cause we live under the bridge!!

Hey Jess, howdy. I am one of those trolls Steph mentioned. WAIT MODS...not that kind of troll!!!! I live in the land down under. Brad and I love the UP and hopefully will get there soon. We would love to see the autumn colors at Taquamenon or the Porkies this year again.

We have an invite to go to the Porkies on the weekend of 10/6. We need to fix some leaks first, but we are seriously considering going....it would be our first outing! Come along, we would love to meet you. Oh, I do have to mention that the colors are going a bit early this fall due to our lack of rain this summer. We seem to be catching up on the rain now-as evidenced by the puddles in the AS.

Thanks SQ! I read you thread on the restoration of your AS and I have to say...I think we were seperated at birth! From the checkerboard linotiles (I have been eyeing something very similar for my kitchen) all the way down to the wayward chicken - It's almost a little spooky. Anyhow I have a million questions for you! May as well start now, four windows are leaking up at the top either from the hinge or just below. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jess
