HI! New with 1975 Overlander

New owner of a '75 Overlander.
I live in SW New Hampshire, close to the Connecticut River and Vermont.
I just bought 15 acres on a beautiful wild saltwater cove in the true downeast Maine, close to the Canadian border. The plan is to use my AS as a 'base camp' while I build my cottage. As the land is undeveloped (as is my bank account ) this is gonna be a 3-4 year project.

After the build, who knows, warmer climes for the winter in the AS for sure. Guess I've got plenty of time to figure that out.

I'm REALLY happy to have found this forum/group. I've learned a lot already and haven't even put a dent in (oops, sorry, probably shouldn't use that word on THIS website, lol) the many threads here. Good winter reading.....looking forward to it.

I promise to do my archives research before asking any dopey questions.

Thank you all !!!

Johnny

Welcome Johnny,

Congrats on the Airstream and best of luck on your cottage build out. Have fun researching the our archives and don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Welcome to the FORUMS, Johnny. The only dumb questions here are the ones you DON'T ask. People here are glad to help and LOVE to see pictures of your trailer. Post when you have the opportunity.

Thanks for the nice welcome folks.
The AS I picked up is actually posted here on the eBay forum.

Had some previous conversations with the owner, nice guy, straight shooter. Given that and the pics he posted I pulled the trigger, sight-unseen (untouched?).

Anyway, appears no upgrades have been made from the original (except the toilet ). I'm handy and pretty mechanical so with the help of this website I'm confident she'll soon be sitting-pretty on the coast of Maine.

Wish me luck.
