Hi, new member from SC

My husband and I just purchase a 2015 Airstream Interstate Ext. They winterized it for us at the dealers, so at present, it is in our driveway and we are studying the manuals. There are a lot of things we do not understand yet regarding the electrical options. We hooked it up to land power and are using the heater as the temp. is getting down to the 20's. is this necessary?

Congratulations on your new Interstate.

If it has been winterized, it is not necessary to keep it heated.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Since it is winterized, it is not necessary to use the unit's heat. You can turn on some heat in case you want to go out and sit in your new baby and "play" camping.

May you have many great Airstream adventures.

Welcome

Welcome to the forums, and congratulations on your new AS. You're not very far from us here in Apex, NC. Our middle son played Lacrosse @ Wingate University, which is a hop, skip & a jump from you. He was # 1 in the nation in DII.
We are relatively new to the AS group ourselves, but we've been Lacrosse crazy for many years. Love the sport. I'm sure we share the same football team in the Carolina Panthers. Ice up, son!

We wish you many happy adventures in your new purchase. It is a truly exciting day when you bring your rig home. I'm sure you guys are chomping at the bit to GET OUT THERE and enjoy it!
If you're ever over in the Raleigh area, look us up. We're always willing to meet new friends and share some stories. If you join the WBCCI, we will share the same unit (#3), so I'm sure our paths will cross some day.
All the best to you & your family. It's all about the ADVENTURE.
Gavin & Kay
