Hi from newbie in PGH

Hi there,
we are an irish couple (accent and all) living in Pittsburgh and about to start our search for our first airstream. We have loved them and tried to look for one 15 years ago, but the shop was closed when we got there. So we ended up buying a regular 29ft, camper, then after child number 2, got a fifth wheel (gosh that was huge). Then onto the vacation home, then moved to Pittsburgh and now we are in the market for an airstream finally. We will not settle for anything else now as we are looking towards our tweens are in college and its just the two of us and the dog.
We are hoping to go to the nearest store next week.

Hi Dorothy,

We lived most of our life in the 'Burgh before moving out to Iowa. We lived next door to you in Upper St. Clair and just loved our years in Pgh. I hope you have as good an experience as we did. BTW, the narrow and twisty streets there will make towing your AS quite the experience!

Best wishes,

John S.

Oh, gosh, I own an Airstream and An Irish shop. I do festivals all Summer including the one at Sandcastle in Pburgh. I got a little lost last year and ended up at the top of the Mountain overlooking the city. I was on cobblestone roads, all this towing the trailer! I finally found my way, and avoided the tunnels!

Welcome to the group, stop by the Irish Festival this year and you'll see my 19' Bambi! Sbb

Dorothy,
Great to see you here on the forum. While looking the Classifieds here, don't miss the listings at RVTrader.com. That's where we found our dream AS on 2011. It's been a blast!

"WOW" The Burgh speaks! Welcome to Pittsburgh Dorthy. I didn't know we had this many Streamers around here. I'm in Bethel Park but I grow up in USC. I'm a proud owner of a vintage Airstream. We too came over from the dark side of SOB ownership. We went from a 31 footer white box trailer to a 19 foot Airstream. It's been great camping and rallying with other Streamers. If I can help in your search just let me know.
