Hi from Missouri

My wife and I are currently looking into purchasing an Airstream for our retirement years. Thanks to all who have posted on AIRForums making it part of the reason we chose Airstream. We know as rookies we have a lot to learn and we are always open to suggestions on the Airstream life.

Hi from Kansas City!

We looked in Springfield, Des Moines, and in St. Louis.

Ended up buying from Bill Thomas RV in St. Louis. Felt they had a lot of good product knowledge and liked how we could get to their dealership without driving into a major metro area. Jesse was our salesperson. Very nice and well informed.

And congratulations on your retirement.

Thanks, glad we found this site. We have been to Bill Thomas RV twice and they have been friendly and knowledgeable to us. We are having a hard time deciding on which size unit we need. We have three granddaughters that we would like to take with us sometimes. Most of the time it will be just the two of us so we're thinking the 25 ft. would be big enough. Then again with the grandkids were thinking 28 ft. is what we need.

No one has regretted a larger unit, but there are plenty of people who have traded in shorter units less than a year after purchase. Don't be afraid to sit on every seat and bed, take your time, open every door and drawer, and talk about what you have, where it can go.

Welcome from beautiful Colorado and to the world of Airstreaming! I can't say enough good things about Lazy Days RV in Tucson. Worth the drive and worth the experience. Take your time, research everything you can and just like a new house or car, there will be a moment when you "know" that the right Airstream is yours.

Welcome from Chesterfield. I've worked with Dale at Bill Thomas. He's a great guy. My wife and I are happy with a 23' but we haven't taken grandkids along. I just didn't want to go to a bigger tow vehicle.
There are many knowledgeable folks here. It's a great forum.

Air Midwest is having a rally in Eureka Springs Ark mid April. Come down and visit. Lots of AS to look at and people to get pros and cons of new, old, big or small.

Thanks for the suggestions. Mid April we will be in Tacoma WA holding our first grandson. Can't wait! Of course I may have to go Northwest Airstream Seattle and check them out while we're there.

We started with a used 25' SE FB we bought on AS classifieds. After a few years we traded up to a 28' International we bought new from NW Airstream in Kent WA. I highly recommend them.

Have fun and be SAFE!

Hello from Canada

We purchased our 28' also in Seattle at Airstream NW and were very happy with the service and purchase.
It's a good dealership to visit as they have a large stock and that allows you to see all the options in one place
Good luck
