Hi Everyone! New owner of a '74 Overlander

I had a family member give me a '74 Overlander. It's parked at a campground up north, and has been sitting since '97. I was up this weekend scrubbing the moss and leaves off of it, and will be repacking the bearings and getting new tires so I can bring it home.

This should be fun!

Hey, if you want to, bring it to the Metro Detroit Rally, in Grass Lake.

Congratulations!

Welcome! I have a '72 version of the Overlander and am very pleased with it. If it's been sitting that long, watch out for mice infestation and follow appropriate clean-up procedures. There are a number of threads on the site that give good directions at safe and hygenic clean-up after the nasty critters!

I know there are mice -- I found two stuck to the carpet . Plus the mold/mildew smell is overpowering at times. I will be definitely gutting it, the floor around the toilet and in front of the sink is soft.

Rivet overlander

hey welcome to the forum,

just joined recently myself. i have a 75 overlander in decent shape. i highly recomend getting a repair manual which has pictorials of every aspect of the camper for repair/replace. you can get it from the airstreamstore.com direct from the factory for 60 which is a good price. it has helped me out big time.

have fun
