So the frame is back from the powdercoater. But notice the jack is not painted. He said that he couldn't paint it because it would melt the grease inside it. So is there anything special I should know about just putting some primer and paint on it? Has anyone else done this before?

Jody...were you guys at the Trail Along to Pismo Rally last month? If so, you made some pretty quick progress and your trailer looked great!!!

LOL!!! Thanks Shari. That one was the one fixed up by FlyteCamp in Bend Oregon. That one sure is a beauty!!! Wish ours was done but it's still getting some rivets put into it. Hope to have it ready by Christmas but like everyone always says....it costs twice as much and takes three times as long...(or is it the other way around?!)
by the way, if you want to see the progress I have a blog at: ourtincan.com

Oh...I thought that would have been a very quick transformation!

Looks like yours will be every bit as much a "looker" when you are done though...I know all about costing twice as much (or more!) and taking wa-a-a-a-y more time than expected from working on our Safari Birdy!

Your blog is great - keep up the awesome job...we'll be watching!
