Hi!

I forgot to do my introduction!! I've been lurking for a few months. We have a 1973 soverign that I inherited from my grandparents. So many memories of when I was a little girl, now my twin girls get to experience it too! We are slowly upgrading/renovating. We are trying to keep the 70s feel while somewhat updating also. I love that camper like it were my baby.... lol. I cringe any time we pull it somewhere and we hit a bump or scrape etc etc. Looking forward to many more years of camping with her but also want to eventually purchase a newer airstream. I have a feeling things will start getting a little cramped in ours with my husband and I, two girls, and 2 dogs!!

Ashley

Hello from another Georgian! Give some consideration to attending an Air Forums rally. There's a great one coming up in April in Hiawassee. Children of all ages are welcome.

The Springstream rally thread is HERE.

Welcome!

How great to have not just an Airstream but your grandparents AS for which you have such great memories. You are fortunate!

We are on our second AS, having tested a used one for several years before finding out we were hooked - so we upgraded to a new 2015 this past fall. I plan to pass it on to my child and grandchild - but not before we use it (a LOT)!

How about some pics!?

If your Sovereign has the original axles they are probably due for replacement. Another problem the Sovereign is subject to is "rear end separation". Plenty of info on those issues on the forums.

Hi lumatic!! Love the name!! We actually replaced the axes when we got her. That was fix number one!! I've noticed a little sag in the rear where the bathroom is. I'm wondering if that's what's happening... Husband knows. He's in charge of repairs. Lol. I trust he knows what he is doing

The photos look real good. Grands would be proud. I don't see any sign of sag. Basicly there should be very little movement of the bumper area separate from the body. The simple test is to stand on the bumper and bounce up and down.
