To the original poster: While I do not own an A/S, I have used ROGER WILLIAMS AIRSTREAM in Weatherford. I had David Tidmore's man install a Hensley Arrow for me. You'll find it a very nice place and I recommend it highly. (David is also a member here). See also below for your initial "shakedown".
Also, CAMPER CAPITOL in Garland is the best RV parts store around. Camping World N of Denton is fine for some things, but be sure to try C-C first for your list of must-haves.
Just left Dallas this evening. Best park for anything N of Interstate 30 is:
SANDY LAKE RV PARK
1915 Sandy Lake Road
Carrollton, Texas 75006
(located inside the triangle described by BUSH Turnpike, Interstate 35 and S-L road).
200+ spaces. I have commented on it elsewhere, and in RV Park Reviews.
Manager, Terry and his wife Bobby very nice, and while park is busy you will have no problems with security. Since it is near the Elm Fork of the Trinity River you'll also see several species of hawk and other bird varieties. I was listening to geese way overhead last night).
Plenty of other folks working from there (we've spent about 3 of the last six months there), and it is well-kept. It's an urban park, so the spaces are tight, but it's dead quiet in the evenings.
