Exclamation Help plz? Newbies w/1985 25' Sovereign

Hello all!

Well my husband and I are 99.9% sure we're no longer "wanna-be's" and are bona fide new owners! We found a 1985 25' Sovereign in what looks to be in very good condition. We followed the detailed inspection advice from the wo derful posters on airforums! Visual inspection was good, electrical & appliances were working, very clean, exterior inspection good, no soft spots or obvious signs of leaks/water.

For the price (vs new) we are confident we can afford to replace/repair most everything but major frame/floor problems. We inspected as best we could and put a $100 deposit down to hold it (in case it is the gem we think it is) with the remainder pending an inspection by someone a bit more knowledgeable.

Sooo... are there any Airstream experts near the Mechanicsburg, PA area willinh to help us out? Do inspectors usually charge a fee? We would want to reimburse at least gas + something for taking the time to help. Please pm me if you can help, or could point me to someone who can.

I also have a ton of pics to post (hopefully sometime later today)!

Thanks everyone!

Look for the block on the right side of the home/portal page of this forum --- titled "Airstream Inspectors". Enter your area and you should find some folks registered near you to help!

Hope things work out for you on this one. As funkill indicated , you may be able to locate someone off of the inspector's list. If that doesn't yield results then re-post your request here.

In the interim you can post some photographs showing general conditions and any thing you feel may be a concern.

Best of luck,

Kevin
