Help need Idler arm and air conditioning parts

Hi, I'm new to the forum, my wife and I just bought a 1979 Airstream Excella 28ft. We have always wanted an Airstream Motorhome, it wasn't until our last road trip to Vancouver Canada that we finally decided to really start looking. We lucked out and a week after week got home from Canada we found our motorhome. We look forward to learning so much from this forum. So far everyone seems to be really helpful and have great suggestions!

I am not sure what an idler arm is for the bell crank? You would most likely need a new AC unit unless yours is an Armstrong. I expect yours came with a Coleman unit. We need a few more details. The only things I know of that use a crank are the leveling jacks and your tongue jack if someone replaced that with a manual jack. As far as I know, you can't convert an old AC unit from Freon to the newer refrigerants. This sometimes works on car AC systems but I have never heard of that working for anything else.
