Talking Help me with my buyer's remorse! :)

Hola Airstreamers!!!
I am so excited (and terrified) to be the soon-to-be proud owner of a 1982 31' Excella. I searched and studied this forum thorougly before purchasing, so I hope I made you all proud. Here's the rub: I built in some contingencies into my purchase... all the appliances need to be in working order. Problem is, I cannot figure out how to turn them on!!! Please help with so basic instructions and soon (I pick up the trailer on 7/18/11)!!! I appreciate all of your expertise and help, thank you!!!

I would think the seller would turn them on and show you how before you take possession.

Have the seller tell you step by step how to turn each appliance on, and then YOU follow these steps to operate each appliance while he is there to assist you.

Make sure he also helps you hook the trailer up to your tow vehicle properly.

Once upon a time you didn't know how to walk... later you didn't know how to read... then there was long division...

Everything new has to be learned. Welcome to Airstream School! You'll do fine, nothing is rocket science. Take good notes or take along a video camera. Meet a few of us along the road or at a rally - you'll go from callow newbie to 5 rivet expert in a few months. One thing at a time.

Smile, a bad day airstreaming is better than a good day working!

Paula

unfortunately the widow of the airstream owner is selling the trailer, so she is not knowledgable on the trailer. Wow, everyone's response is awesome, I am so excited to be part of this fraternity, sorority!!!

I hired a local rv repair guy and paid him $100 to go through the trailer with me and explain everything. He ended up staying a couple hours and got a kick out of figuring things out himself. Best moeny ever spent.

That is it! We want to know more, how did things work, what did you find out, where are the pictures? I dare you, you come here and post about your new trailer, then not give us pages of details, I demand pictures or it didn't happen.

Enjoy your new trailer and please provide more information we are interested.

Welcome Jim

You can also click on a user name in a post on a thread, like Vinnie's user name. It will bring up a drop down list of things you can do, such as view their profile, or send a private message or email.
