Help - may buy AS

Hi folks...
I have the oppertunity to buy a 25 ft 1974 land yaut airstream for $18,000.00. What do you think...is that a good deal?
Cause I have seen them in the states (oregon) for like 6-10 thousand.

Thanks in advance

It better be made out of silver for that price. In reality, it should be nearly perfect with major upgrades to new components / appliances plus running gear. Hold off, there will be others.

Sharene,

For that price it should be absolutely perfect, with many appliances new or nearly new. A friend of ours sold one about that same year this last year at the Salem International for the mid teens.

Is that US or Canadian?

WAY TOO MUCH!

Check the Classifieds here for much more reasonable units. Go slow in this search.

Sharene,

I'm also in North Vancouver and have seen the advertisement for the trailer you're interested in. It is more than twice the price of comparables that I've seen for sale. In fact I paid less than half that amount for my 1972 Tradewind, which is in excellent condition (new wheels, new upholstery, new tires, etc.). I would pass that one over or do your research on prices and show the owner of this trailer that he is way over in his price and try to get him to come back down to earth.

Don't be in a hurry to buy. The right trailer at the right price will come along. There are more around here than you may think.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your search!

I sold my '74 25' for $6500 with new cushions, upholstery, curtains, floor, AC and everything working in excellent condition. I felt I got top dollar - it was not worth more than that.
