'Hello World' from sunny Arizona

Hi All! Thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself: Chris, from Phoenix, computer geek, 1974 Argosy 24'.

First off, I just want to thank everyone for all the incredible knowledge and entertaining stories shared on this forum. After discovering the site, I was inspired to start looking for an Airstream and happened to find a vintage beauty on Craigslist. It was in remarkably good shape for it's age. Even the 70's pin striping is mostly intact! Still a few items to fix and still A LOT to learn, but all in due time.

When I brought it home, a female friend described it as being "so cute and chubby"...the trailer that is. Hence, it has been so named "Big Chubby". So far, the adventures of Big Chubby have been limited to sites around Arizona and to a couple Cali beaches. Hoping to remedy that next year with a few longer trips. The eventual goal is to full-time it once my 2 mutts learn to behave. Really excited about joining the AS community and making some new friends on the open road!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year with much love and happiness to all

Howdy and to Airforums, Chris!

You have found the right place for answers concerning your trailer. It sure looks good from the photo you posted! How about more photos, even of the interior?

Oh, and I see when you added an avatar, you used one of a MoHo (motorhome). There are one for Argosy trailers, or of course, you can use your own...

Thanks Aage & Travel Bird! I'll change that avatar...I do have a favorite avatar of an animated Chris Farley Chippendales clip, but maybe it's better to save that for a different forum I'll upload a few more pics of the trailer and the troublemakers...

Welcome to the Forums, Chris. You really found a gorgeous Argosy! I love the interior. Nicely done! Your pups are totally adorable! They look very comfy in that trailer. They are always happiest near their humans, and they can be much closer in a trailer!

Thanks Lisa! Now that it's cold, they're REALLY close to this human! They especially like the armpit and crotch as favorite snuggle spots.
