Hello to one and all!

Hi,
We are seeking our first AS. We are experienced campers and have made the decision to find an AS from 1985-1999 to start our adventures with. Words of wisdom are appreciated, we will have lots of questions.

Best,
Bruce

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

Let us know how big an Airstream you are considering. What are your needs? How many people? How much traveling? Do you have a tow vehicle?

Let us know a little more about your needs and intentions, and we can make some suggestions.

Brian

Welcome to the Forums.

My advice is to buy the smallest trailer that fits your family's needs.

Thanks for the offer of help, knowledge is power and we love to learn.

My tow is a 2000 Dodge 2500 with Cummins diesel power, if I can hook to it the truck can pull it and still get 15MPG.

There are two of us and one slightly insane dog, non smokers, even the dog.

She has fibromyalgia so a unit too small would be a BIG issue, that is why I chose the size I did, but opinions on other sizes is welcome for sure. I have many thousands of miles experience pulling trailers.

My experience in Alaska with tens of thousands of miles camping, pulling boats or snow machines, boondocking all the time, taught me a lot. I had a diesel pusher MH there. A trailer camper will be new to me.

AS seems the way to go, some other have mentioned Avion too, what do you think????

Based upon your response, I would start looking in the 25' range and go up from there. We have a 2005 25FB, named Lucy, that the two of us have spent over 600 nights in and have pulled almost 60,000 miles. We find this size very comfortable for the long haul.

Your tow vehicle can handle any size Airstream, so the choice is yours.
