I got a craigslist app and set it to search Dallas, OKC, Tulsa, and several other areas relatively close. We ended up considering several and finally purchasing one from OK. The good ones just moved too fast in Dallas! Good luck and I'll keep an eye out as well. I saw one north of Paris the other day but I didn't get any info on it.
Cool, we go up to Paris to visit friends, if you get any info please pass it on to me.
Thanks

Think we found something but would like your advice.

Was looking at the classifieds here and found a 2005 Safari.

2005 AIRSTREAM SAFARI LS 25 FEET--1 OWNER - Airstream Trailer Classifieds - Airstream Trailers For Sale

Has a bunch of hail damage but we dont care about that. Just means we wont be the ones to put the first dents in the camper.

But we are worried about the roof leaking.
How hard would it be to seal this camper back up ?

It is an insurance salvage camper so we would get a salvage title.

What do you guys think ?

We would pay someone to go check it out for us, we live about 5 hours away from Houston, TX where the trailer is located.

Thanks a bunch.
Rich and Tracy.

Locals

We've got a good group in this area that enjoy camping. They're not all as good looking as me though so you got to be tolerant.

Hi Rich-

I'm new too. My husband Phil and I (Lisa) just bought a new 2013 16' Sport and we just love it. We spent a very long time looking for a small used model but they are hard to come by so we eventually decided to bite the bullet and get a new one.

We live in Comfort, TX and it's great this time of year to head to the beach or river!

Yes it takes a long time to find the right Airstream on the used market, but new is good too. I went from a 72 Tradewind to the 2006 Safari and I love the new features. Try go go to one of the Airstream Rallies and you'll meet some great people that know all of the ropes.

Oh did I mention AA in this case is Airstream Always! Welcome Rich we have a project that we have undertaken and it is and has been fun and rewarding and at the same time frustrating. Welcome! Always good to have another Texan here. We looked for months, traveled many a mile, and found ours right under our noses...

The thing I didn't like about this trailer was NO PICTURES OF THE TOP! And those were some mighty, mighty dents on the end panels. The top might look like the surface of the moon. Also did skylights, air conditioner cover, fan covers, etc. get smashed? And how much water got inside and how long was it before someone came out and did water/mold remediation? 2 hours - good trailer possibly, 2 weeks - get an 11 foot pole because you don't want to touch it with a 10 foot one!

Yes a couple of the dents on the top looked like basketball size hail hit it.
