Hello - my first post

Hello all
Last summer we bought ourselves a 1978 Ambassador Land Yacht, I'm not sure on the actual length. 31' or 29'? It sleeps 4, with the two pull out beds. The guy we bought it from had made a bunk over top of the other pull out bed, which we have been using (there are 5 of us), but I would like to eventually take it out and make it the way it was originally intended. However, he also took out the overhead storage and threw them away.

We are taking our airstream on a trip to the Yukon this summer for our vacation, and I am so excited!

I'm looking forward to learning more about them here, and 'meeting' you!

Welcome to the forums! The ambassador is a nice trailer -- usually running 28' in length. We have a 1961 ambassador we are restoring. We would love to see photos of your trailer if you have any.

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Sounds like a great trip that you have planned to the Yukon. We hope to do a Yukon trip some day.

Safe travels,

Hi and welcome to the forums. Going to the Yukon sounds like fun. I hope to do that on my way to Alaska one of these years.

It seems funny I should be welcoming you because I just recently joined too. I have a '75 Ambassador which I am renovating from the frame up. So I have taken mine apart screw by screw and I have photos if you need to see anything by comparison.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I was able to find enough time to post a small pic for my avatar, but I will have to post some more pics maybe tomorrow of the airstream itself.....(just have to figure out where and how)....

It's in actually really good shape, although there's quite a bit of hail damage, and she could use a really good polishing. That, and I'd like to take out the carpet and put in laminate or something along those lines.

I am looking forward to being on here, and learning alot more about my airstream, and others! We are completely hooked on them now - I know that I'll never be able to use a different trailer!
