Question Hello- Looking for an original copy of a Bambi brochure

Hello,

I am new to this site. I am looking to purchase an original of a Bambi brochure from the 1960's. It shows a Bambi being pulled by a little white Mercedes convertible on the cover. There are palm trees in the background. The name of the brochure is "The New Airstream Bambi". If I did things properly, my avatar shows the cover of the brochure that I am searching for. Or it may appear below.

If anyone has a good original for sale or knows where I can purchase one, please let me know. As soon as I figure out how to do it, I will also post this in the Wanted section of this forum.

Thanks,
Tom

This would be quite a find for sure. Here is a better copy of what you are looking for.

Notice the signature in the upper right corner. This was Stella Byam's copy at one time. I would guess it may be in the possession of Dale "Pee Wee" Schwamborn. Hopefully he may return to let us know if he now owns this one.

I'd be even happier to have the car!

Question Still want to get an original 1962 Bambi brochure

THANKS for the much better copy!!! I think the copy I have was from a 1961 Xerox mimeograph that needed some work!! I have added your much better version to my avatar.

I do not necessarily need one with this signature, but I would still very much like to find an original if anyone out there has one. Or maybe someone knows where I can get one.

Thanks again!!!!!!
Tom

I think you might come closer to finding the car than the brochure at this point in time.

Question Got the car, got the Bambi, NEED THE BROCHURE!!!!

Tom,

I already have the car. Even have a few of the toy versions with wannabe Bambi trailers. Does anyone sell a scale version of the 61 Bambi?

Now I just need an original of the Bambi brochure. Surely someone out there has one?? Anyone??

Have fun!!

You might also place an ad in the Wally Club publication (Blue Beret) or in the Vintage Airstream Club (VAC) publication/newsletter (name escapes me). And maybe in the commercial magazine Airstream Life (I don't know if they have classified or not). I'd surely suggest you include a color image with any ad (like your avatar pic)..

What if I may ask are you planning to do with the brochure?
Wouldn't a good high quality color copy work?

Please keep the thread informed if you are succesful.

Thumbs up Thanks!

Roger & MaryLou,

It is one the way, THANKS!!!!! I guess I never thought of doing my toy shopping at the Hallmark Store!!!! I really appreciate you telling me about this one. Let me know if you see any other sizes of this cute toy.

Too bad Hallmark does not sell old original Bambi brochures! Maybe someone will know someone that has one for sale. Does anyone know of any source out there that sells old original Airstream brochures and literature?

I really appreciate evryone's help on this forum!

Smile It arrived, but still no leads on an original Bambi brochure!

To All-

The Hallmark Airstream arrived and looks very cool!

Now if I could just get a lead on an original Bambi brochure that shows the Mercedes convertible pulling the Bambi.

Have fun,
Tom

Try www.autolit.com . It's Walter Miller's Automobile Literature up in Syracuse, NY. They have ads, brochures, shop manuals etc. for almost anything. They also buy your old literature that you don't want.

Unhappy Not yet!

Ricky,

Totally forgot about Walter!! I have purchased 190SL items from him before. Just went to his website and sent a request. Got my fingers crossed! Thanks for reminding me about him!!!! Let me know if you think of anyone else that might have an original for sale.

Gary,

Nope, not yet!! It's not like I haven't been trying either. I have sent requests to over 25 vintage magazine and brochure dealers. Somebody out there has to have an original for sale somewhere!?!?!?! In fact, I'll bet there is someone out there that has a stack of 'em just sitting around collecting dust!!! Thanks for the back page of the brochure!!!

Have fun,
Tom
