Smile Hello from Webster NY

Hello Everyone,
We are Paul and Chris from Webster NY where town motto is where life is worth living. We are excited after We just put our deposit on our 2019 30’ FBB and pick it up in NJ on the 24th.
We came to this decision after looking at a used trailer which we found to not be as well taken care off as advertised, taking a tour of the plant in Jackson Center Ohio and also from recommendation’s from this forum! We have a 2016 Chevy Duramax Diesel so I suspect this should be a good tow vehicle, we have been camping for the last couple years in a 26’ Heartland North trail which we still are trying to sell and which surprisingly measures only 7” shorter in length than our new one. We plan on spending a few months this winter in Florida and we love how bright and airy the Airstream feels inside.
Any suggestions or tips on pulling and using our new baby would be appreciated, and we feel blessed to be able to purchase and travel in one after we’ve admired them so long! Thank you everyone and thrilled to be in the club!

Hello from Colorado: Welcome to the Airstream community with a similar feeling as your hometown motto; "life worth living". You are buying a great Airstream and I truly hope you enjoy it for many, many years.

Your truck is fully capable of safely towing your Airstream. A good hitch will help and perhaps you have one from your former rig. I think you will find the Airstream tows better and is less sensitive to cross winds and truck wakes.

We enjoy traveling with our old Airstream Limited. At 33 years it is still going strong and keeping us young.

Congrats on your new AS!

Any questions you may have can be answered by the knowledgable folks on this forum. Also, have you thought about joining your local WBCCI unit. The members could be a tremendous asset and you could meet others who enjoy streamin' as well.

Wishing you safe and happy travels!
