Hello from the UK - 1968 Safari owners!!!

Hello everyone

Quite new to airstreams, we've always said we'd get one after seeing one over 10 years ago - A rare sight in England.

Just bought a 1968 Safari which needs a little TLC and converting to UK/Euro spec's. It's missing the bed opposite the kitchen area which I will have to have made. We plan to put some new flooring and replace the foam and cloth materials. Fitted a battery and used a 110v tramsformer and couldn't believe how well everything work for being close to 40 years old.

I look forward to questioning you all over the coming months as we get deeper into the (mild) restoration. I visit the N. Carolina regulary with work and will use this as a base to collect parts and send them back to the UK.

I look forward to obtaining your wisdom!

Steve
