Hello from the Irish Hills

The wife and I have decided to treat ourselves to a nice 25th anniversary present. We have camped since newlyweds in everything from tents to 5th wheels but have never owned an Airstream. We are looking to purchase a leftover 2012, either a 22 Sport or 19 Cloud. Wish us luck and we hope to see you out there in the BEAUTIFUL Great Lake State.

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the forums and good luck in your search.

You're not too far from Jackson Center.. have you thought about a tour? Not sure how familiar you are with them, but the factory tour is a great way to check them out top to bottom.

Joe, plan on taking the trip down to Ohio this spring.

Thanks all for the kind welcome.

Make sure you camp at Petosky State Park.

Site 174 is perfect and it's a breeze to park the shorter rig.

Evans lake area. You're only a few miles away.

Nice. We used to enjoy the best beef ribs at the Bauer Manor. Sure miss them. That was a great old place. We kayak in Allen lake a few times in the summer. I haven't been on Evans lake since I was a kid in the 50's. My dad took us there for a couple of days to get away from the big city. My wife and I have a 28' Safari and enjoy going to the U.P. specifically Marquette where we camp at an Indian casino. We enjoy kayaking and bike riding there. The shore of Superior is great for biking and Presque Isle great for the kayak.

Welcome to the forums and the Airstream life.
Congrats on 25 years and your new Airstream.
I love camping in Michigan especially the northern and western areas. Favorite is Higgins Lake.
My brother has a 60 Pacer and lives in Brooklyn.

Dan, It is a very small world. That 60 pacer sits one street over from my wife's mother's house. I was checking it out numerous times. It is partially to blame for my new interest. Tell him thanks.
