Hello from The Blankenships in Alabama

New to the forums and just wanted to say hello. My family and I live in northern Alabama and have loved our 1973 Airstream Argosy 24 for the past 10 years. We have two teens left in the house and we all, believe it or not, enjoy camping on a regular basis. We vacation in our Argosy every summer and it pulls "homestead" duty during the winter months at my hunting camp.

We have done many upgrades/repairs to our Argosy over the years and will continue to do so as this is the last camper we ever plan on owning. Some repairs/upgrades we have accomplished are AC/hvac, furnace, water heater, installed wood laminate flooring, upholstery update, paint, and awning. All systems are currently in working order with the exception of a leaky waste dump valve.

Hope to find some like minded campers in our general area and would enjoy an Airstream/Argosy caravan or meeting.

Please cross the state line and join us over in GA. The GA unit of the WBCCI owns a campground just north of Helen, GA and we have monthly rallies there in the summer. We will be having a campout at Chattahoochee Bend State Park on March 15-17. The park is almost on the GA/AL state line. If you plan to attend, please send me a PM with your contact info and I will pass it on to the couple coordinating things.

More Argosy members! Welcome.

It's a long haul, but we have a very friendly Airstream group in north and central Texas. A couple of other members of our unit claim to have an Argosy but they've never brought one to a campout I attended!

I am in Huntsville, AL. Feel free to send me a PM. I just bought a 31 foot Airstream a little over a year ago. It took most of that year to get it fully functional.
