Hello from sunny Cornwall, England UK

Hi everyone,

We're Chris and Beverly Hill from Cornwall - over the pond in Great Britain (UK).

We're really excited about our recent purchase of Harvey - a vintage 1970's Argosy 24 Airstream motorhome. He has survived 'unmolested' with his orange corduroy interior in pretty good condition, although understandably a little tired.

We got him through his MOT (roadworthy test) and he now has a vehicle license so he is 'good to go'. The Cornish weather hasn't been as kind to him as perhaps the dry sun of California would have been so he needs some TLC. We have plans to replace his window channels and some of the trims, I'm not inclined to use his Dometic fridge/freezer anytime soon - unless a good bleach spring clean works wonders and his citrus green shag pile carpet is a little worse the wear as well so we're looking at options for a retro modern new/old look floor. Other than that he drives like a dream and his engine is 'sweet as a nut'.

We are taking him out for his first road trip and camping expedition this week to a local hot rod get together here in sunny Cornwall - and we're pretty excited about it

Hi Chris & Beverly,

Welcome to the forum and the world of Airstreaming.

There are quite a few Airstream motorhome and travel trailer owners in the UK so, one day, we may meet up with you.

Have a good hot rod meet.

John & Carole in the UK
