Hello everyone!
My name is Smoky and I just bought a 61 Avion T-27 trailer. I know this is an Airstream forum but I was hoping I could be adopted. I am from Wisconsin and am planning on heading out west next month. I hope it is ok for me to ask questions because I think Avions are quite similar to airstreams. I'm trying to decide between New Mexico, Arizona, or Nevada. I plan on staying in the state parks. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, and congratulations on the Avion. You are more than welcome here. Make sure and post some images of your trailer so we can all enjoy it. You can search the forums for all sorts of information from getting your unit hitched most safely, tires, towing, destinations ect. I look forward to the pics of your camper and from your trip out west.

Hello there!

"Cousins" are welcome here! It sounds like your travels will be fun! Are you planning on traveling through New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada, or trying to choose between the three?

There are many threads on nice places to stay. Bob Thompson has a nice list that is fairly useful as you travel and need a place to stay overnight! Here is a short list of his:

There are also many sites for state parks. I suggest you google each state you are interested in for "Nevada State parks" , etc. and you should get the official state park information. Most seem to have detailed information about what there is to see, when they are open [many close during winter in the north, don't know about the south] prices, trailer length, etc.
