Welcome from Colorado: You did find one of those projects where the hard work is done to the frame and subfloor. So now you have good bones to hang your new interior. You can be an interior designer. I'm not very good at it and certainly can't beat Airstream designers. They are experts at it. The factory is located in Jackson Center Ohio since the early fifties.
You can learn all about your 72
Sovereign here on these Airstream Forums. There are several very good "project threads" in the Knowledgebase category toward the bottom of the Forums page. Find
Sovereign, then the year range, then "Little Girl Refurb" by Minno; link below. It is a great thread of a refurbishment of a early 70s Sovereign and will give you an idea of the work involved. Stay up all night reading it.
Welcome to the vintage Airstream hobby.

PS Love the old truck. Maybe you need a 72 Chevy Impala wagon with a 396 engine to tow it with. Now there is a real scary thought.
