Hi Janskid,
We are from South Eastern Michigan and just got back tonight from a Metro-Detroit area rally held in Frankenmuth. We get a lot of Michiganders from all over. We have both flavors, forum and WBCCI, with many taking part in both activities. We hope you will join us some time or that we can get up to see you. Good luck with your search for your Airstream. The folks from MD area have lots of experience and we have a lot of fun with participants of all ages.

Welcome. Watch out or you'll spend the next months reading the threads on this forum!
From a dedicated Vintage guy, maybe a newer Airstream is the right idea. I just got back from a trip in my Overlander, which had been in "dry dock" for 4 years, and I have a list of 56 items that need attention. But I still love the older models.
Good luck on your search.

Good luck in your hunt! Took me nearly two year to find mine ... but it's worth the wait, IMHO.
Hope to see you along some trout stream before too long, or at a Forum Rally!

Another newbie here
Hi Janskid,
We are also newbies. We found a 65 22' Safari last May and have been updating, fixing & polishing ever since and love it. It is a very big project but very rewarding as we can see much improvement. I found this forum one of the most informative places to find out what ever you need to know about airstreams. All of the folks are so helpful. I made a search for some cabinet hardware and within 1 day I had two sources. We will finish the project this winter and plan to have it on the road in the spring. Can't hardly wait. Good luck.

Hello from Southern Michigan. We got our first AS Summer 2008. We bought a very nice 2005 25' Classic. We love it. We winterized it on Monday for this season. It was a sad day. The forum keeps me going over the Winter. Good luck on your search.
