Hello from North Carolina!
Hello, my name is Eddie My wife (Jennifer) and I just purchased a 1976 Airstream international. We live in Shelby, NC on a small farm. I am a fireman for Charlotte NC, and my wife is a nurse. We purchased our airstream because we have 4 month old twin girls and we wanted for them to grow up going on more vacations than we could afford if we used hotel rooms or resorts. My wife and I thought campsites looked like a lot of family fun. So we decided to look at campers, I told my wife that I had always heard airstream was the way to go. So after 2 weeks on ebay and craigslist I now own an airstream, and I am hooked. We have already used your forum for advise on interior upgrades, and how to shine up the trailer. There is no price tag large enough for the wisdom that you all have shared in the forum.
Nice to meet you all and I hope I see you on the road.
Eddie

Welcome Eddie and family,
Always good to have another Carolina's Airstreamer in the mix. Camping is a great way to vacation and create some family memories.
Best of luck,
Kevin

Whooohooo!
More North Carolinians!
Hi Eddie,
Welcome to the forums!
I live just east of the Sandhills. My wife flies for USAir based out of CLT, so we get over that way pretty regularly.
We have a 1975 that is still undergoing a 120 step rehab so if you need any help we are vintage friendly and don't mind hands on and love to share information.

Welcome from another North Carolina Airstreamer! I like you began my journey on the forums a year before I purchased my first Airstream and found the information here invaluable.
Airstreaming has enhanced the quality of our lives!

Btw
We have a very vintage friendly dealer in NC. If you need parts Out of Doors Mart is in between Greensboro and Winston-Salem in Colfax, NC right off of I-40. They also do mail order too.

I know how excited you are. We took our first trip this past weekend and did not want to re-hitch. It was so fun learning the ins and outs of the Airstream and making it our own. Glad to have you with us!
