Hello from New Member

I just bought an '03 22' International in Dallas TX and drove it home to Berkeley CA. I love Airstreaming and am looking forward to making my next big trip. My favorite RV park was Davis Camp on the Colorado River in Bullshead City AZ. Driving the trailer was pretty easy, except of course, for backing up. But I'm beginning to get the hang of it. I'm a solo streamer, so I'll be checking out that forum from time to time. I'm hoping to go out on a longish ( 1-2 month)trip after Thanksgiving, maybe to Baja. Maybe meet up at Richard 77's RV park near La Paz.
I'm hoping to attend a NorthWest area rally too, so hope to meet some of you members in the future.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The trailer backing skill will come with a little practice. Take your new baby to a large paved empty parking lot and practice backing. Pretty soon you'll be able to back it in between the line of a standard parking space.

Good luck and safe travels.

My rule is . . . if I can't get there going forward, I'm not going.
Click on the link to see a picture of the Sioux River falls near my home.
Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Welcome Stefle,

I think your going to feel very comfortable here.. Sounds like your well on your way to becoming a pro. Maybe our paths will cross as we do a few very fun rallys here in Northern Calif. You just missed the last open spot at Jackson.. Look for Casini in the spring.

Congratulations on the Stream and a successful 1st trip.

Backing is a skill that gets better with practice.

Good luck on your adventures.

Welcome to the Forums.

An '03 International owner was checking in at a campground near Wisconsin Dells yesterday when we were there. Very nice trailer. As we chatted with him, he mentioned he had a frame repair kit installed recently. Said it must be a known problem as he got it from the factory and had it locally installed. It may be something you'll want to check out here on the forums.

Good luck and happy camping.

Hmm. The only 'universal' "03 Internat'l problems I know of are
1) The window at the rear tends to leak, or somehow leaks happen at the rear end under the desk. My unit had repairs done for this problem before I bought it. and
2) the filiform corrosion issue on the exterior. So far haven't had or heard about problems with the frame. And hope I never do!

But thanks for the heads-up.
