Hello from Lake Forest, IL

Hello,

We are soon to be Airstream owners - we are hoping to lock down a 25ft FC this coming weekend. Upgrading (considerably) from an RPod we purchased early last year to test out (i) would we use a travel trailer much? We did, and (ii) would we enjoy it? (we do).... we had a great time traveling around. When we came to the states almost 20 years ago our goal was to, one day, own an AS so we are very excited to be able to do so now.

I am sure we will have many questions over the coming months and I will post a couple of immediate questions concerning tow vehicle set-up on another forum, however, the one I have for today is: for those who have an FC do you prefer the rear or front queen bed set up and why?

Thanks for any responses and thanks for being able to join this group.

Rear Bedroom 25' advantages

25 foot Rear Bedroom Twin - here is why it was right for us.

1. Lower tongue weight
2. Larger lavatory
3. Window in lavatory
4. Twins can be made into queen with a couple of pieces of plywood across the aisle, but the twins provide another 'lounge' area if required. Twins are also oriented north/south instead of east/west of the queen.
5. Twins have amazing outside rear trunk
6. Bedroom in rear is quieter, with wrap-around windows a spectacular view from the bedroom/lounge
7. RB floor plan allows for gas oven and microwave, whereas FB requires you to choose.
