Hello from Joplin

Hello from Joplin. New to forum, but have been RVing for 2 years in 2005 Safari 25. Just retired early, so am looking forward to much more activity...suggestions for great trips for a single little ol' lady appreciated.

Hello from a fellow Missourian. I'm just up the road from you in Springfield. For starters, you might consider a forum rally scheduled for first weekend in April--Compton Ridge North Campground in Branson. Check the thread already going on this, or check the rally calendar for details. A great way to meet some of the forum folks.

Welcome to the forums! Glad you could join us...you have some AS exterience under your belt so please share your expertise and tips when you see a chance...the more the merrier!

Where are you interested in exploring? If you can put out a general direction folks will no doubt chime in with their favorite trips in those areas...you're lunky in that you're centrally located in the good ol' USA, so you have lots of options without having to cross the continent!

See you down the road sometime!

Joplin: Welcome. The forum rally's are great. Be sure to look at the Rally Calandar tab in the blue header above. We attended the Branson rally last fall and would echo the above comments that it was good. Also consider the one in June at Moraine View near Normal IL. We recently retired also and have enjoyed a couple trips.

Hi Ms. Joplin I grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin Senior High in 64. Then from Mo. Southern and Pitt. State. My Mom is 91 and still lives in J-town on Oakridge in south town.I'm a retired teacher who Airstreams with his wife.I have a 1999 25 ft. Safari with a Hensley hitch. I tow it with a GMC fire-engine red Sierra.
I know how hot and humid it gets in the summer in Joplin. I would suggest a trip to Northern Mi. for a cool summer trip.Mi. has a wonderful state park system. One of the nicest state parks is in Ludington it's right on Lake Mi. really nice . Also any of the parks around the Straits of Mackinaw/the Mackinaw Bridge are great. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me drjjta@hotmail.com
