Thumbs up Hello from Indiana.

Hello.

We just bought (another) Airstream, and love it. We lost our first one last year to a hail storm (totaled); fixed it up a little and gave it to our children in FL who make good use of it, but made the mistake of buying a non-Airstream TT to replace it. Boy, what a pain to tow that was! Finally found another 25 ft. Safari SS (2005) that matched our needs and traded in the non-AS. Now I love to tow again! Just like they (WB?) said, "like a stream of air".

This forum is loaded with good advice for both new and experienced campers, and I'm impressed. I plan to keep exploring the site and learning from the collective. Thanks to all who take the time to answer and help.

Glad you found a replacement. Nice donation to the kids in FL - too bad they didn't know better to keep it!

Enjoy - Laura

Hi, Neighbors,

We're enjoying our 1968 Trade Wind so much, we decided to get another, a 1957 Overlander. On the Vintage Airstream Podcast, they call this tendency to have more than one Airstream "aluminitis."

I hope you have many more great years of enjoyment of your new Safari.

Anne

Wink Hello from Central Indiana

We are also from Indiana, Frankfort to be exact. We just purchased our first AIRSTREAM last night. We drove to Ft Wayne Indiana and found a wonderful 1996 Airstream Land Yacht 30' motorhome. No it is not silver but has all the quality of the Airstream name. We were very happy to have found it so close to us. About 2 hours to the north. It will provide our family many hours of enjoyment since we will be traveling and also using it to tailgate at our grandson's high school football games. We also have a pond that we will set up camp with the Airstream. My husband is not a fix it type , so I gave in and came up with a perfect solution. I wanted an in good condition silver Airstream but it didn't fit his idea of a relaxing hobby. SOME DAY I WILL OWN MY OWN SILVER QUEEN. But for now I am just glad we finally agreed on this beautiful motorhome.

Wow, SilverEscape, congrats on your new purchase! There are a number of WBCCI units in INdiana. We're members of the Central Indiana Unit ourselves. The Indiana Unit would also be an option for you close by. We have a great time with the CIU. Here's their website with further info. Have fun with your new Motorhome!
