While I know I can't necessarily expect to find the trailer of my dreams right away I did expect to at least see some out there. I've been looking two times a day through all the sites (around 10 different plus across the county CL) and some eyes on the lookout too, since 4/30 and I haven't even seen 1 that meets our criteria. we're looking for a 66-68 overlander or 67-68 tradewind international, w/twin beds. I've found the double bed but not the twin beds. Please give me your opinion on how long I'm going to be searching before I actually find one...thanks.

thanks you two, I had already seen them both and while I love the thought of 'already repaired' for me I don't like the updates at all! I really want it as original as I can get it.

(literally) Just got back from PA...with our new 1977 Argosy 24 rear door! Nope, it wasn't what I thought I wanted but I found the proverbial 'needle in the haystack' which made me fall in love.

We bought the trailer from the original owners, who had it covered from day one. All my preliminary floor poking (at water storage tank, in bathroom closet etc) has shown me that there is NO FLOOR ROT! Don't get me wrong, there is some maintenance to do and more discoveries to make but this all original trailer is that one in a million and I'm so happy that we drove the 750 miles over this weekend to go get it.

Too exhausted to say more but was too excited to hold that back. i'll post more under the argosy section as thing unfold.

Really happy for you guys, the recovery adventure is something you will never forget. Glad no major drama on the way home. Next comes the best part, snooping thru all the drawers, nooks and cranies to find treasures no matter how small.

Have fun

Kevin

I know, I can't wait to get in her and really start digging around! Sorry about not posting a pic but exhaustion set in yesterday which means, who can think?

like the trailer, the upholstery was slip covered its entire life so its excellent condition shows. I couldn't be happier!

Wow! It is really nice. Can't wait to see more. I would like to get a second trailer that is smaller and I would like to find an argosy. Welcome to the 70s! How did you find it?

Thanks.

The ad was on craigslist in PA! and well worth the trip as the condition is absolutely amazing. The seller was an absolute gem...the trailer came with all the original paperwork, manuals, booklets and all his added toys, equalizing hitch, tire covers, upholstery covers and more.

I'm already enjoying the joys of ordinary cleaning as it appears there is little to do. However, I'm sweating bullets because there is no a/c unit, as of yet. The story goes that he asked the dealer if he should get the a/c unit or the awning and the dealer said awning. I guess that night have been common in the 70's in PA but not so here in the south!

Super excited, can't wait to go camping...after the air or after the summer, whichever comes first.

I feel your pain! Working on AS is killing me in this heat. We are south of Atlanta 3 hours and we have gnats!!!!
