Thumbs up Hello from Flyover country

Hello to all,

I just found your site one day when I was bored at work. I sure have enjoyed reading about other folks having the same troubles traveling with your old Airstream that I have had. My wife, dog, and I live in Central Illinois. We found our Airstream a few years ago when we lived in West Bend, WI. It was a 1966 Soverign International with double beds. She had been taken care of and was in good shape and 99% original. (Wouldn't have any other way) We had briefly talked about getting one, and then we saw this one for sale along the road. So I guess it was fate. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. My wife and I wanted it so we could travel the country with our little dog, Lucy. She really has enjoyed redecorating it, and of course ignores all the other small problems we have had with the old girl. It doesn't have a WBCCI number. I keep telling her we need to join. Would love to go to a rally to meet some of you guys.

Last year we took it to Yellowstone and really enjoyed it. This year we went driving around the southern Midwest and into the Delta(Memphis, Hot Springs, AR, and Missouri) stopping at a few state parks along the way.

Looking forward to learning more from the grizzled veterans on the site.

Thanks for letting me join.

Cory

Thanks Mel,

I will try to get some pics up.

That's funny, my wife is from Royal City, WA. In the central-eastern part of the state.

I am looking forward to many trips in our trailer. Need to figure out a name still.

Hi COREY(airstream66)
Welcome to the FORUMS. Use the search feature, name any subject and I'd bet its been covered here.
Unless you are determined to have BIG RED NUMBERS which by the way becomes very expensive and are in no way Required, BLUE Stickers are givin here and U get a AIR Number for a small donation and you can have the numbers made.
If you haven't noticed yet there are Air Rallys that we enjoy very much. They are very informal, cause we whom do not have RED NUMBERS are just down home folks that like to get together and have fun.
OK, BOX SAY'S SHUT UP ROGER
Anyway Welcome COREY
Roger

Thanks Roger,

So far, everyone has been great. And am looking forward to going to a rally.
Here is a picture of her, with my dog Lucy in the doorway.

Hey Corey,

Welcome the forums. We have a 1974 Sovereign and live in it full time.

You will find most all of the information you need or want on the forums, and by all means check the rally schedules and come on out to play.

BTY Lucy is very cute and obviously an A/S doggie.

Marie
