Hello from Denton!
My wife and I are both Art teachers. I retired from the classroom this year and Nancy has another year or two to go. Last Spring we were lucky to find a lightly used 22' Safari and we're learning the ropes by taking it out on weekends and short treks. We are looking forward to expanding our horizons.

Welcome to the Forums, Bill and Nancy. We're glad to have you with us. You'll find a lot of good Airstream information here.

Welcome Bill and Nancy to the Forums and to Airstreaming from fellow Texans. Jimmy and I are in the same boat - he is retired but I'm still hanging in there for a while longer.
We have owned two Airstreams - a vintage motorhome we sold and a Classic we totaled on our first outing. We are currently looking for a replacement. Let us know if you run across a late model Classic - around 30'.
Please let us know if we can help you with anything or if you just want to visit about Airstreams!

Come this week end
Lake Ray Roberts. 20 minutes north of Denton. Wx in the 60's.
I'm not sure if we've got you on our distribution list so wanted to let you know that a bunch of us are camping at Lake Ray Roberts, just north of Denton the weekend of Nov 30th. There's about a dozen rigs right now. We'll be at the Johnson Branch on the north side of the lake. There's also a state park on the southside of the lake but it's busier there. On this one we're doing an ornament exchange on Sat. night and we potluck dinners/bfast, Fri eve, Sat, and Sunday a.m. Also doing an Aluminum chef contest and if you're interested in entering you just make a dish wish the designated ingredient (which I've forgotten) and bring to the potluck. Some of us will get there Thurs. If you can make it just let me know. If you make the full reservation for Fri and Sat. then we can try to grab your site Fri. a.m. when they open. That's how we try to keep us all close in the state parks where you can't reserve specific site. Also, if you plan to come let me know the size of your trailer. lastly, my cell is [removed at phone owner's request] if you have an questions. low key group, no agendas, Jim (Tin Hut)
I hope TIN HUT does not mind....I just copied his Email.

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I are from Plano but we store our AS in Celina. We are through Denton often. We often enjoy camping at Lake Murray just about an hour's drive north of Denton on I35.

Hi Nancy & Bill -- Welcome to the Forums! From my abortive freshman year as an Aggie, I remember TWU before it went coed. I drove through Denton twice (without Airstream) in the couple weeks before Thanksgiving while en route to visit family in S.A. You're on the right side of DFW -- gives you easy access to all points of the compass. Come back often & share stories! Thanks for joining.

Another howdy from a fellow Texan ... We live in Fort Worth, but my wife is finishing up her master's in Denton, so we often find ourselves in your fair burg.
We just bought a "new" Airstream a few months ago, and have had a blast getting it outfitted and embarking on a few trips. If we could break away, we'd head up the road to Ray Roberts this weekend, but we can't squeeze it in. So, we'll be headed to Mineral Wells the following weekend. (It's their "Cowboy Christmas" presentation ... should be fun.)
Welcome to the forums!

Hello, Nancy and Bill, and welcome to the forums.
We used to live in Denton (over on Idiot's Hill, aka, Emerson Drive), but gave it up in favor of mountains rather than hills.
